You got hammered at the bar on Saturday but came to church on Sunday….
You can sit with me, you’re right where you need to be.

You’re a drug addict but came to church on Sunday….
You can sit with me, you’re right where you need to be.

You’re divorced and the last church you attended condemned you for it….
You can sit me, you’re right where you need to be.

You’ve had an abortion and it’s slowly eating away at your heart but you came to church on Sunday….
You can sit with me, you’re right where you need to be.

You’ve been unfaithful to your spouse but came to church on Sunday….
You can sit with me, you’re right where you need to be.

Here’s the thing, people don’t come to church on Sunday for you to sit in the pew and quietly judge them because you feel that you’re somehow better than them.

People come to church because in their deepest, darkest, most painful moments they heard about a man named Jesus that could save their soul and they’d like to know him.

The man that just snorted co***ne off his kitchen table isn’t a bigger sinner than you who told your boss a lie on Monday so you could leave work early.

The woman that had an abortion 10 years ago isn’t a bigger sinner than you who flipped a man off in traffic last week because he cut you off.

The drunk man laying on the bar isn’t a bigger sinner than you who occasionally has too much to drink at home in private.

The woman that just got caught cheating on her husband isn’t a bigger sinner than you who had s*x with your now husband before you were married.

Stop judging others because their sin is different than yours.

Romans 3:23-24 says “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

There isn’t a person in this world too bad, too broken, too mean, or too damaged for Jesus to save.
Romans 10:13 says “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

While we celebrate today as Reformation Day, the day that began the Protestant breakaway from Roman Catholicism and some of it's egregious practices of the Middle ages, it must be remembered that Martin Luther's teachings also brought intolerance and promoted anti-semitism which eventually resulted the deaths of 6 million Jews during the holocaust. His vehement vitriol also promoted anti-catholic hatred that is still pervasive in Protestant circles and denominations. I think we need to look at the Beautitudes, particularly Matthew 5:7-9 and examine our hearts and actions and DO the Gospel, not just talk about it.

The Lord sets up and destroys kings and kingdoms for accomplishing His purpose and plan. This is only a temporary home for believers. In the End the dark gets darker, but the Light gets Lighter. As believers turn deeper into the WORD and their faith, we get stronger in the Light. Then the Light can shine brighter from within us towards others so that they may know Jesus, the Light, before the End comes suddenly upon them. Let us all be purposeful in the opportunity The LORD has given us.

It is with great regret and deep sadness that we must announce that Camp Suwannee will be postponed until the 2021 season.
We know and understand the very great need that the youth in our conference have been seriously impacted by the Covid -19 virus pandemic. They have missed many things that were their expected normal life and may be anxious, confused or deeply saddened.
However, the risk to their health, the health of the staff and leaders, as well as the risk to the Advent Christian Village where Camp Suwannee is located is still too great of a risk at this time.
We will take this time to pray and plan for next year's camp and cannot wait to see what God has in store for this program. Please pray for those in charge, for those making the hard decisions, for our leaders, and for our country. Stay safe and stay healthy.
Blessings,
Fla Conf Executive Board

The SACA board is made up conference representatives and have been in much prayer regarding the Covid-19 issues and how that may impact summer camps within the Southern Region. There are weighty decisions being made by each state conference for the safety of their churches, congregations, ministries and camps.

Our Florida Conference Executive board will be meeting to reach a decision that will be prudent, responsible and safe.

We covet your prayers as we specifically take the 2020 summer camp season under consideration.

Urgent Prayer request: a parishioner of the Dover AC church is in need of your prayers. Shirley Williamson has been battling Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis since 2014. She has been on 24 hour oxygen for a couple of years. Her lung function began taking a nose dive in the fall of 2019. She has been doing testing as well as all of the needed preparations for being placed on the lung transplant list. However, her breathing has continued to worsen. After a call to her doctors, they requested that she come to the hospital in Orlando to be admitted. Her husband, MC Williamson was not allowed to enter the hospital with her due to the coronavirus pandemic. He is about an hour and a half from her and I think this is the hardest part for them both. She had several tests Tues and Wed, including a heart catheterization that found some blockages. The team of doctors are testing to make sure that she is a good candidate for the surgery and being approved for the transplant list. They have already put her on anti-rejection meds in preparation. Please lift Shirley and her family up in your prayers!
