Opening Scripture
Psalm 23:1–3 (KJV)
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.”
Opening Prayer
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we thank You for bringing us into this Sunday service.
We acknowledge You as our Shepherd, our Protector, our Provider and our Guide. We surrender this day, our families, our homes, our ministries, our businesses, our careers, our health, our journeys and our future into Your hands.
Lord, go before us and make every crooked path straight. Where we are confused, give us direction. Where we are afraid, give us courage. Where we are exposed, become our shield. Where we are about to make a wrong decision, redirect our steps.
Let Your Holy Spirit take control of this service. Let Your Word bring light, healing, restoration, deliverance and renewed faith.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name, Amen.
SERMON: GOD'S PROTECTION, GUIDANCE AND DIRECTION
1. GOD IS OUR PROTECTOR
Psalm 121:7–8 (KJV)
“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”
There are battles that we know about, and there are dangers we never see.
There are doors God prevents us from entering because He knows what is behind them. There are journeys He delays because He knows what would have happened. There are relationships He removes because He sees what we cannot see.
Therefore, we must not only pray, “God, give me what I want.”
We must also pray:
“Lord, protect me from what I do not know.”
The protection of God is not only about stopping an enemy. Sometimes God's protection comes through a closed door, a delayed opportunity, an uncomfortable warning, a change of direction or a loss that later proves to have preserved our lives.
Prophetic Declaration
I declare over your life today:
Every journey that would lead you into danger, may God redirect you.
Every decision that would destroy your future, may God interrupt it.
Every trap you cannot see, may God expose it.
Every hidden danger around your family, may God preserve you.
Every legitimate journey you undertake, may the Lord go before you.
You shall go out in peace and return in peace, in Jesus' name.
2. GOD WILL GUIDE YOU
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
One of the greatest problems believers face is trying to understand everything before obeying God.
Sometimes God does not show you the entire road.
He shows you the next step.
Abraham had to leave his country before he knew the complete destination.
Peter had to step out of the boat before experiencing the miracle.
The children of Israel had to move forward before the Red Sea opened.
God's direction often becomes clearer as we obey.
You may be asking:
Should I continue?
Should I stop?
Should I accept this opportunity?
Should I reject it?
Should I relocate?
Should I invest?
Should I enter this relationship?
Should I begin this project?
Should I wait?
The prayer for today is:
“Holy Spirit, guide me.”
Not:
“Lord, bless whatever I decide.”
There is a difference.
We should first ask God to guide the decision, and then ask Him to bless the decision that aligns with His will.
3. GOD WILL GIVE YOU DIRECTION
Isaiah 30:21
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.”
There is a time for movement.
There is a time for waiting.
There is a time to speak.
There is a time to remain silent.
There is a time to start.
There is a time to stop.
There is a time to fight for something.
There is also a time to walk away.
The mature believer does not simply ask:
“What can I do?”
The mature believer asks:
“Lord, what do You want me to do?”
May God give you the grace to recognize the difference.
4. GOD WILL PROTECT YOUR DESTINY
Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”
Notice the Scripture does not say that no weapon will ever be formed.
It says:
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper.”
Opposition may come.
Criticism may come.
Delays may come.
Difficult seasons may come.
But opposition does not have the final authority over the purpose of God.
Your responsibility is to remain faithful.
Do not abandon your assignment because somebody criticized you.
Do not abandon your calling because progress is slow.
Do not abandon your dream because one door closed.
Ask God:
“What are You teaching me in this season?”
5. GOD WILL DIRECT YOU INTO THE RIGHT DOORS
Revelation 3:8
> “Behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it.”
There are doors that human beings can open.
There are doors that money can open.
There are doors that connections can open.
But there are also doors that only God can open.
When God opens a door, we must walk through it with:
wisdom,
preparation,
integrity,
humility,
excellence,
patience.
Do not confuse every opportunity with a divine assignment.
Some opportunities are distractions.
Some opportunities are premature.
Some opportunities are dangerous.
Some opportunities are simply not yours.
Therefore pray:
“Lord, open the right doors and close the wrong doors.”
PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR PROTECTION
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray for everyone connected to this service.
Let Your hand rest upon them.
Protect their lives.
Protect their families.
Protect their homes.
Protect their journeys.
Protect their work.
Protect their businesses.
Protect their ministries.
Protect their resources.
Protect their minds.
Protect their future.
Where there is danger, provide escape.
Where there is confusion, provide clarity.
Where there is fear, provide peace.
Where there is weakness, provide strength.
Where there is uncertainty, provide direction.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
PROPHETIC PRAYER FOR DIVINE GUIDANCE
Holy Spirit, guide Your people.
Guide their decisions.
Guide their relationships.
Guide their finances.
Guide their careers.
Guide their businesses.
Guide their ministries.
Guide their investments.
Guide their movements.
Guide their plans.
Do not allow them to walk into what You have not ordained.
Do not allow them to reject what You have prepared for them.
Give them discernment to recognize the right people.
Give them wisdom to recognize the right opportunities.
Give them courage to leave what must be left.
Give them patience to wait for what must be waited for.
Give them strength to pursue what You have commanded.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
21 PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS
Say these declarations with faith:
1. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not lack.
2. God is directing my steps.
3. I will not be a victim of confusion.
4. The Lord will protect my going out and my coming in.
5. Every legitimate journey I undertake shall be covered by God's protection.
6. God will expose dangers that I cannot see.
7. I receive wisdom for every major decision.
8. I reject fear and receive a sound mind.
9. The Holy Spirit will guide me into truth.
10. Every wrong door that would destroy my future will be closed.
11. Every right door ordained by God will open at the appointed time.
12. I will not make permanent decisions based on temporary emotions.
13. I will not allow pressure to replace divine direction.
14. My family is under the care of God.
15. My future is in God's hands.
16. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
17. I receive strength to wait when God says wait.
18. I receive courage to move when God says move.
19. My steps are ordered by the Lord.
20. I will walk in wisdom, righteousness and integrity.
21. I shall fulfil the purpose God has entrusted to me, by His grace.

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK AHEAD
Father, as we enter a new week, go before us.
Let Monday bring testimony.
Let Tuesday bring wisdom.
Let Wednesday bring divine opportunities.
Let Thursday bring favour.
Let Friday bring results.
Let Saturday bring thanksgiving.
And let the next Sunday find us stronger in faith and deeper in our relationship with You.
Where there is a battle, give us victory.
Where there is a mountain, show us the way forward.
Where there is a closed door, give us understanding.
Where there is an open door, give us courage to enter.
Where there is a difficult assignment, give us strength.
Where there is uncertainty, speak peace.
In Jesus Christ's mighty name. Amen.
CLOSING BLESSING
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make His face shine upon you.
May the Lord give you wisdom for every decision.
May He protect your household.
May He guide your steps.
May He preserve you from evil.
May He open the doors that align with His purpose.
May He close every door that would destroy your future.
May your testimony be greater than your present challenge.
May your faith become stronger.
May your family experience peace.
May your work prosper according to God's will.
May your life become a testimony of God's faithfulness.
You will not walk alone.
You will not walk in confusion.
You will not walk without divine direction.
The Lord will go before you, remain with you and preserve you.
In the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ.
