Catherine “Cathy” Bond, fourth-grade ELA and science teacher, has dedicated 33 years to education. As she begins retirement, Cathy is looking forward to traveling more with her husband, who recently retired as well, and spending more time visiting family out of state without the limitations of a school calendar. She is also excited to finally dive into the many books waiting patiently to be read!
Her parting advice to future educators? Go beyond the classroom. Get involved, speak up for your profession, and always advocate for your students.
