Moms in Prayer International is a ministry that I (Michelle Homchuck) have been involved with for over 10 years. A friend invited me to her MIP group that she was having with a few friends. It wasn't too long before I was leading my own Moms in Prayer group as more ladies were interested in joining us in praying for their children, local schools and homeschool. Over the years of raising and homesc
hooling four children, and now watching my own daughter have babies, I am more committed than ever to praying for this generation of children. Having a group of women to pray with and encourage one another through the ups and downs of raising children and now grand parenting has strengthened my faith as I have seen God answer our prayers again and again. God has blessed me with the opportunity to continue sharing Moms in Prayer with other women by being an Area Coordinator for Piscataquis and Somerset Counties for 9 years, and now I am beginning the role of Maine Region 2 Coordinator, covering 8 counties in northern and central Maine (Piscataquis, Somerset, Oxford, Franklin, Penobscot, Washington, Hancock and Aroostook Counties). This is a huge area and there are currently only a handful of active MIP groups. But it is our prayer that God will put a passion to pray for this generation into the hearts of women all across this region!
