The Beatitudes | Building a Life That Lasts | Matthew 5:3–12
What does a truly blessed life look like?
In this Bible Study series, we’re walking through The Beatitudes found in Matthew 5:3–12, where Jesus gives us a blueprint for building a life that reflects the heart and character of God.
Just like bricks in a strong foundation, each Beatitude builds upon the others, teaching us how to develop the spiritual character necessary to live as citizens of the Kingdom of God.

THE BEATITUDES
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 5:3
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” — Matthew 5:5
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” — Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” — Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” — Matthew 5:8
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9
“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” — Matthew 5:10
Throughout this series, we’ll discover that the Beatitudes are more than individual promises. They are building blocks. Jesus is teaching us how our hearts, attitudes, priorities, and actions must be transformed as we grow closer to Him.
The question isn’t simply, “Am I blessed?”
The deeper question is:
“Am I becoming the person Jesus described?”
