ONE PERFECTLY TIMED MOVE CAN CHANGE THE ENTIRE FIGHT
Subtopic: Never Underestimate the Underdog

Scripture: 2 Kings 13:14–19
Preached by Reverend Dr. Johnnie B. Porter, Ph.D., M.Div., M.A.C.M., B.S.

In 2 Kings 13, the prophet Elisha instructed King Joash to strike the ground with the arrows. Joash stopped after striking only three times—and his limited response resulted in a limited victory. What might have happened if he had continued striking?

This message challenges us not to stop too soon, faint under pressure, or allow disappointment to make us underestimate what God has placed within us. You may have lost a round, but the fight is not over. You may appear to be the underdog, but when God is on your side, one act of faith, one “yet praise,” one more attempt, or one perfectly timed move can change the entire fight.

Sometimes it looks like you are losing when you are actually being positioned to win. Keep believing. Keep serving. Keep striking. Keep moving in faith. Your due season may be closer than you think.

“For in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9

Pleasant Grove Family & Friends,

https://youtu.be/vk7YiiAyOjU?is=rgMZRTdYO-4WZAeA

What do you do when you’ve wandered away, made some wrong turns, or found yourself farther from home than you ever intended to go?

Today, Rev. Richard Marlowe reminded us through the powerful message, “Run Away Child… Run Away — What You Gonna Do This Time?”, from Luke 15:1–2, 11–24, that running away does not have to be the end of your story.

You may have wandered.
You may have made mistakes.
You may have gone farther than you planned.
But you can still come home.

The same Father who saw the prodigal son coming from a distance is still watching, still loving, and still ready to receive His children with open arms.

If you missed today’s message—or if you know someone who needs encouragement to find their way back—take some time to watch, listen, and share. Someone needs to be reminded today: the road home is still open. ❤️

May this Word bless you and your family.
