Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Peace Council #17145 We are a Catholic men’s organization based on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Started in 1882 by Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney.

Our parish council is open to men ages 18 and older who wish to put their faith into action.

Did you know that the Knights of Columbus originated and sponsored the adding of "Under God" to the words of our Pledge of Allegiance?

The Knights of Columbus initiated a campaign in 1951 for the public adoption of the phrase “under God” in the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance. One year after Supreme Knight Luke Hart took office in 1953, President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed a law that officially added the words “under God” to the pledge of Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, on June 14, 1954, Flag Day.🇺🇸
