Dear Brother Knights, and IMMACULATE CONCEPTION BVM CHURCH Family

We write to share some significant news regarding the leadership of Mary Queen of Peace Council #17145. After much prayerful discernment, our Worthy Grand Knight, Rick McCann, has made the decision to retire from his position, effective September 2 2026, due to ongoing health issues.

As a council, we express our profound gratitude to Rick for his steadfast service, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. He has truly lived out our mission as a Catholic gentleman, guiding our council in strengthening our families and serving our parish. We thank Rick for expressing his continued dedication as a Brother Knight to the council in the future at whatever degree his health allows.

Please join us in lifting Rick up in your daily prayers. We ask our Lord Jesus Christ, the Divine Physician, to grant him comfort, strength, and healing, and to bless him and his family abundantly during this time. ✝️🙏

Our Worthy Deputy Grand Knight, JR Ristine, has stepped forward to assume the role of Acting Grand Knight, effective immediately. He will fulfill the duties of the Grand Knight until we hold a formal election at our next regular business meeting. We extend our full fraternal support, cooperation, and prayers to JR as he steps into this vital role.

The Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Peace Council #17145 invites you to join us in prayer to Honor Our Lady of Guadalupe and for the sanctity of all human life. A prayer service will be held after Mass at IMMACULATE CONCEPTION BVM CHURCH Tues. Sept. 8th, the Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary. “Through [the Silver Rose Program] we honor not only Our Lady of Guadalupe and express the unity of the [the Knights of Columbus], but we also reaffirm [our] dedication to the sanctity of human life. It is to the Blessed Mother that we turn in prayer as we work to end the Culture of Death that grips our society. As we think in terms of ‘One Life, One Rose,’ it is most appropriate that we turn to Our Lady of Guadalupe who made known her will through Juan Diego and the miracle of the roses.” – Past Supreme Knight Carl A. “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” — Matthew 16:16

In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks His disciples a question that echoes through every generation: “Who do you say that I am?” Peter responds with a bold profession of faith, recognizing Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the living God.

That same question is asked of each of us. Our answer is revealed not only in our words, but in the way we live, serve, and trust God each day. Built on the faith of Peter, the Church continues to proclaim the truth that Jesus is our Savior and Lord.

🙏 Lord, deepen our faith in You, strengthen Your Church, and give us the courage to profess with our lives that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
