Two on Testimony Tuesday!
Let's do two on Tuesday from Douglas 2! This one is from Elder Landon Waldron from the Douglas 2nd Ward currently serving in the Idaho Boise Mission! The below are small parts of his email this week and his testimony!
"Thursday was our P Day last week because we went to the temple that morning, we went to the Meridian temple this time. And that was a really pretty temple. I never thought growing up I would enjoy going to the temple so much, but it means so much more now and I actually have a knowledge What's going on and why we do what we do for other people.
We were playing volleyball, and this dude was kind of hanging around where we were, and we invited him to play volleyball with us. And we talked to him and he asked what church we go to And we told him, and he said that for our Easter Program we had the other Sunday He went and absolutely loved it so I don't think it was no coincidence he ended up where we were and ended up playing volleyball with a bunch of Missionaries. But tonight I felt like we should give him a call and he didn't answer. So I figured we might go visit him, and we did and talk to him for a little bit and ended up with Him saying he wants to be baptized. So that is awesome, and we're gonna try to help him get to that point. So we're excited for that.
I went with Elder Murphy and we had a good ole time. Friday we did service for one of our new members and she needed help with her yard. So we mowed her yard and snatched up a bunch of weeds , and can't tell if I enjoy pulling up weeds because it's different than what I normally do or because it gets me out of church clothes. Saturday we went on exchanges again, but this time it was with our district leader, and I went with elder Fritz and I'll tell you what I love that dude Cause he's so goofy and fun and loves to tell people he's from Alaska. But during that , we helped somebody paint a wall and then had a super great find with this one woman and her kid that were really awesome in the spirit was so strong while we were teaching them about the atonement of Christ.
The atonement is real. I've seen it change so many people's life, continue to see it change lives, and it has changed mine. Jesus Christ does love you, and he did suffer for you, for all of your pains and your sicknesses and your afflictions. Let his atonement change you and don't let it go to waste in your life. You're never too far gone. He is there for you no matter what. "
