Lord, the world feels heavy. Every day brings news of another tragedy … another shooting, another act of violence, another innocent life cut short. It feels like evil is running wild in the streets. The hearts of men have grown cold, and the fear and hatred that fill this world are almost too much to bear. It’s hard not to grow weary. It’s hard not to wonder how much longer this can go on. I see the chaos, the moral decay, the disregard for life, and I can’t help but cry out… “God, where are You in all of this?” But deep down, I know the truth: You are still here. You have not left Your throne. You have not abandoned Your people. You warned us that days like this would come… days when right would be called wrong, when love would grow cold, and when violence would fill the land. Yet even in this storm, Your Word stands firm: “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” — Psalm 91:2 Lord, sometimes it feels like the darkness is winning… but Your Word tells me that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it (John 1:5). The enemy might stir up fear, confusion, and bloodshed, but he cannot silence the name of Jesus. You are still saving souls, still mending hearts, still turning ashes into beauty.I look around at this world, and I see a people desperate for hope, and I see a people searching for answers in all the wrong places. And I realize that now, more than ever, the church must rise up. Not in fear, but in faith. Not in silence, but in boldness. This is not the time to hide; it’s the time to shine. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” — Romans 12:21 So Lord, I ask You to start with me. Let my heart burn with compassion when others turn away. Let my words carry peace when the world speaks hate. Let my life reflect Jesus in every conversation, every act of kindness, every moment of grace. If this world is growing darker, then let Your light in me burn brighter. If violence fills the streets, let my prayers fill the heavens. If hearts are hardening, then let my faith stand unshaken.Because I know, when the darkness rises, Your glory rises higher. When evil grows loud, Your truth speaks louder. You are the God who brings light out of night and life out of death. And even when this world falls apart, Your Kingdom still stands. Lord, have mercy on this nation. Heal our land. Turn hearts back to You. Raise up Your people to be the light and salt You called us to be. Strengthen those who are weary, comfort those who are mourning, and awaken those who have fallen asleep. Let revival begin…not in the streets first, but in our hearts. In Jesus’ name, amen.
