Honduras Mission Trip Opportunity - Sept 28 – Oct 4, 2024

Come Join Us! You meet a lot of wonderful people at the Youth Soccer Clinic, Kid’s Vacation Bible School, Young Teen Mentoring, and going Door to Door sharing Beans and Rice.

Hope Here International Ministries will join with First Baptist Church Enterprise, AL on a short-term mission trip to El Plan, San Manuel.

Our departure date is growing closer. Nonetheless people interested in serving in an international mission field can still take one of the remaining spots on the team.

Our mission will consist of a Medical, Dental and Optical Clinic, Children’s Vacation Bible School, Youth Sports Clinic, Young Teen programing, and Community Beans and Rice Evangelism. Teen members do not have to be Medical Professionals or Ministry workers. Just a desire to share the gospel and Christian love and charity.

Team members need a Passport that is valid 90 days beyond our return date and complete a short Team Member Application and Medical Form.

El Plan, San Manuel, Honduras – July 7, 2024

Now into July, the Hope Here International Ministry (HHIM) and First Baptist Church Enterprise (FBCE) mission trip team is twelve weeks from its September 28th departure to Honduras.

One of the top priorities of the team is working with children and young people. Significant effort by FBCE is put into a Children’s Bible School, Youth Sports Clinic, and Young Teen Mentoring which takes place from Monday, September 30 through Thursday, October 3 at the Iglesia Monte Sinai.

Children’s and Youth programs for both boys and girls are most excellent at the Iglesia Monte Sinai. One of these is the Exploradores del Rey program. The program is led by Dr. Jorge Mejia, Carol Claros, and others. The Pastor at Iglesia Monte Sinai is Alexander Reyes.

Dr. Jorge and Carol shared photos of recent activities of the Exploradores del Rey. Activities include Bible study and fun activities.

Regalo de Dios (near Villanueva), Honduras – July 7, 2024

Now into July, the Hope Here International Ministry (HHIM) and First Baptist Church Enterprise (FBCE) mission trip team is twelve weeks from its September 28th departure to Honduras.

One of the top priorities of the team is working with children and young people. One agenda item is the annual visit to the Fuente de Agua Viva (Fountain of Living Water) Kids’ Bible Church and School. This is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 29th.

Pastor Javier Tabora and his team of teachers serve Fuente de Agua Viva each Sunday, weather permitting. The kids learn about Jesus and the Bible through both teaching and related activities.

The school is so important, as without it most of the kids would not have a chance to hear the gospel. The work of Pastor Javier and the teachers plant the seeds of salvation among the young students.

Today, Pastor Javier shared photos and a report of today’s session. He reported that 45 kids enjoyed God’s Word. Javier gave thanks to a friend of his that supported not only the kids snack time of chips, but also sweet bread and juice that they could take to share with their families.

June 9, 2024, - Regalo de Dios (near Villanueva), Honduras

Pastor Javier Tabora reported a good attendance of 35 kids at the Sunday session of the Fuente de Agua Viva children’s Bible Church. 35 is a good number given the current hot temperatures in at sea level in Honduras. At other times as nay as 70 my attend.

The pastor shared pictures taken at the session, which showed recent improvement on the surface of the school structure. This included blocks that were established around the perimeter of the canopy. Also, gravel was spread over the dirt surface. The work was done to prevent cancellation of sessions following heavy rains which was down mud from the higher ground above.

Our Hope Here International Ministries (HHIM) and First Baptist Church Enterprise, AL (FBCE) mission team will visit Pastor Javier, the teachers, and kids on Sunday, September 29. The visit is always one of the highlights of the annual FBCE/ HHIM Mission Trip. Team members lead the kids in Bible activities which is always fun. Goody bags are also presented to the kids.

The team is set to serve in El Plan, San Manuel, and work from the compound of the Honduras Baptist Dental Mission Compound.
Our kickoff of the Team Building phase has begun. Participation is not limited to HHIM or FBCE affiliation. Individuals and groups from other churches and organizations are welcomed to be part of the team.

Team members need not be medical professionals, or work in a ministry field, but just need a heart for sharing the Good News of the Gospel in an international mission field.

During past trips the mission agenda has included a Medical-Dental-Optical Clinic, Children’s Bible School, Youth Sports/Soccer Clinic, Beans and Rice Evangelism, Young Teen Mentoring, Veterinary Services, and a visit to the Fuente de Agua Viva (Fountain of Living Water) Children’s Bible School.

Regalo de Dios (near Villanueva, Honduras) - Sunday, February 18

Pastor Javier Tabora reports approximately 40 kids were part of the
Fuente de Agua Viva Kid's Bible School and Church this past Sunday. Pastor Javier and the teachers continue their volunteer service to these kids in this community. Their efforts ensures that the kids who attend and participate learn about Jesus and hear the gospel.

Hope Here International Ministries is blessed to be friends with this school and helps in its support. A visit to the school will again be on our agenda when our fall visit is made.

Regalo de Dios (Near Villanueva), Honduras – January 8, 2024

Hope Here International Ministries (HHIM) would like to announce that the Fuente de Agua Viva children’s Bible School will resume meeting on Sunday, January 14 following their Christmas break. This information was passed on by Pastor Javier Tabora today.

Pastor Javier also shared a photo of some of the books that the teachers and kids will use as they resume their Bible Study activities. These books were made possible by our supporters. Through materials such as these, and devoted teachers, kids in the impoverished community are able to learn about Jesus and other people and stories in the Bible. Indeed, through this school many seeds are planted with kids, that with God’s nourishing, will result in many accepting Christ as their personal Savior.

We also want to share a photo taken during this past December of Pastor Javier and a large group of the kids. We would draw your attention to the dirt floor of the school structure. During times of heavy rain, the surface floods and becomes too muddy for the children to meet. We would like to announce that Pastor Javier has shared information regarding a budget to pour a cement slab under the school structure. It is a modest budget and hopefully this can be accomplished soon.

As we enter the New Year, HHIM is seeking supporters to help the kids at Fuente de Agua Viva, which will include making the cement floor happen, and to help provide Bible-based text materials and supplies.
