Wayne made it! He is with his Savior as of last night! He will be missed here but let us remember he is celebrating today.

If you could comment one thing you remember about him as an encouragement to his family here on earth.

This post is about Wayne the founder of this site... Please pray copied from his daughter

(Back story for those who don’t know: My dad had a stroke a few days after walking me down the aisle. The clot was removed from his brain, only to have a major brain bleed and swelling afterwards. That was a couple weeks ago. He hasn’t spoken since. At most, he’s been able to open his eyes and squeeze a hand when asked if he knows who’s there. But those moments are rare.)

I’ve been putting off making an update post on my dad. It’s been a bad week.

He went a few days without being really responsive. But today he had a moment and recognized his brother (he’s only allowed one visitor per day). Unfortunately, they found a clot in one of his legs. Today he had surgery (3rd so far) to place a piece of mesh in one of his major veins leading to the heart, so that clot (or any others) will get caught in the mesh before causing a heart attack.

I’d like to thank everyone who has been keeping us in their prayers. It is beyond greatly appreciated. This has been getting harder on us the more this drags out. So, besides prayers for healing for my dad, please pray for peace for us. Not being able to do anything and stretches of days without any improvements is taking its toll on us.

REMEMBERING MARTYRS: On this day in 1999, Graham Staines, along with his two young sons, was conducting a five-day, open-air evangelistic outreach in Odisha state, India. One night, Graham and his sons had retired to their station wagon when a group of militant Hindus set fire to the vehicle; the missionary died holding his boys. Prior to the attack, Graham had used his medical skills in a leprosy hospital in Odisha state (formerly called Orissa), where his wife and daughter remained for five more years after his death. Their martyrdom brought fanatical Hinduism to the world’s attention, causing many to pray for India.

VOM's Global Prayer Guide was created to help you pray more specifically for our brothers and sisters in Christ who risk rejection, imprisonment and even death as they obediently serve the Lord on dangerous and difficult mission fronts.

Now concerning the subject of death, and our departed loved ones, must be approached with compassion. So, on this subject lest the reader think me to be austere, let me borrow the words of the late Dr. Charles S. Price, “I come not as a dogmatist, wearing the robes Of infallibility; neither come I as a wielder of pen of sarcasm dipped in the ink of criticism; but rather a grateful child of God, to whom the Holy Spirit has been giving light on this subject”. ~Lawrence N Register~

VOM workers have been contacted recently by Yemenis who are coming to faith in Christ through various media outlets. One woman reached out to a VOM worker after seeing a Christian TV program. Unbeknownst to her at the time, her husband was also watching the same show, and he contacted the worker as....
