Why do we keep children in our worship service?
At Covenant Reformed Church, we believe our children belong in the worship of Gods people. They are not only the future of the church; they are part of our covenant community today.
We practice family-integrated worship because we want our children to hear Gods word, sing his praises, see their partners worship with a glad heart, and grow up worship along side the saints, learning what it means to love, serve, and obey the Lord.
Yes, children cry, wiggle, and some times need correction. We lovingly discipline them, and join back in worship with a joyful heart. Extend grace to parents of young children as they raise their children in the fear and knowledge of the Lord. Their lives are precious in the sight of the Lord and we look to faithfully raise them up to enjoy the Lords day.
Gods promises extend to generations and we want our children to grow up living side by side and worshiping side by side the saints.
We worship together because we belong to one body, and we want the next generation to know, love and serve Jesus Christ.
“For the promise is unto you and your children” -Acts 2:39
