Young adults in Alabama recently gathered at Camp Hucalo for a special screening of Dedicate, a new video series produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The series follows seven young adults as they explore the Salt Lake Temple, visit with Church leaders, and seek answers to personal questions about faith and purpose. Following the screenings, series participant Alex Cazier of Huntsville Alabama Latter-day Saints shared a reminder that "Jesus Christ is the healer," and that each of us is within reach of His loving, healing power.

Attending the temple and engaging in sacred worship helps us focus our minds, strengthen our faith, and grow closer to the Savior.

Hurricane Isaias Cleanup

Charles, wearing the blue shirt and black hat, was referred to us by the Dothan 2nd Ward team after a tree fell into his shed during the storm. A team led by members of the Enterprise Ward, joined by volunteers from the Air Force flight school at Fort Rucker, worked together to remove most of the tree and help him salvage what was inside.

Charles was deeply grateful for the support and loved the fellowship and generosity shown by these young lieutenants who spent their weekend serving others.

Across the stake, 20 members of the Ozark Ward supported two families living next door to a member. They cleared four fallen trees, removed debris, and ministered to both an elderly couple and a young family
still recovering from the aftermath of Hurricane Isaias.

The team ended their service with a prayer and left with new friendships and a spirit of unity in Christ. We are grateful for every act of kindness, every hour of labor, and every heart turned toward helping neighbors in need.

Hurricane Isaias Cleanup Update

Enterprise Ward Service Effort

Duane, a neighbor of one of our members,had a large tree fall in his front yard during the storm.

A team from the Enterprise Ward responded and safely removed the tree down to the stump, clearing his yard and helping restore access to his home.

Before leaving, the team offered a prayer and a blessing upon Duane, his family, and his home. He expressed deep gratitude for the support.

Later, Duane reached out again
and asked if the team could assist his brother‑in‑law, who also had storm damage and fallen trees.

On Sunday, the team followed up
and provided service to his family as well.

This has been a meaningful ministering experience, and one of many acts of Christlike service taking place across the Dothan Alabama Stake as members help neighbors and communities recover.

Many of our members have received the help they needed, and we are grateful for the love and ministering already shown.

As we continue checking on one another,
we also want to reach out to our wider community.

If anyone in your neighborhood or circle of friends is still in need of assistance after the storm, please let us know so we can help where possible.

The Stake center and the Geneva buildings are currently without power.

If power is not restored before Sunday services, members in those units will be asked to attend nearby congregations for sacrament meeting.

“When ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.”

We appreciate the love, service, and unity already shown. Thank you for continuing to look out for one another as we move forward in recovery together.

🌧️ Storm Preparation Update

With the pending storm, we invite all members of the Dothan Alabama Stake to take a few minutes to prepare your homes and families.

Please reach out to your ministering assignments, and also check on friends, neighbors, and anyone who may need support.

Let’s make sure everyone is aware of the storm and has what they need to stay safe.

The Relief Society activity scheduled for Saturday has been suspended and will be postponed to a later date.

We encourage everyone to use this time to stay connected and watch over one another.

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, that they may be light.”

(Galatians 6:2)

Thank you for helping ensure no one is overlooked.

🎬 New series alert!
Dedicate follows seven young adults as they tour the renovated Salt Lake Temple. One of them is Alexandra, 21, from Huntsville, Alabama. She has a sincere testimony of Jesus Christ, and like many of us, she is still learning and growing in her understanding of temple covenants. This series shows how the House of the Lord strengthens all who come from every nation, background, and level of experience. 🤍

In his closing remarks today, President Dallin H. Oaks encouraged members to watch this new series, and Episode 1 premiered this morning.

Geneva Ward Fish Fry — March 21, 2026

We’re grateful for the photos and information shared with the stake by a member of the Church about the Geneva Ward’s fish fry earlier this year. It was a wonderful day of gathering, friendship, and community the kind of moments where we feel the Savior’s love reflected in one another.
