Sunday School Excerpt!
The United States is one of the wealthiest nations in the world. Our understanding of rich and poor is quite different from other nations in the world where people live on much less. We know abundance, yet our economy still suffers. The unemployment rate is high. Many churchgoers are unemployed, yet we are still challenged to give generously. Paul exhorted the Corinthians church to do just that. How might those who have the means reach out to those in your congregation who have needs?

Shame like guilt or fear can be a valuable emotion, if it leads one to change.Only from within the healthy experience of shame in confessing one's sins can one truly repent and thus fully experience Gods' mercy and grace .

Sunday School Prayer:
Father in the name of Jesus, we worship and praise you for the gift you have given us in your Son Jesus Christ. Father we thank you for all the blessings we receive because of his finished work on the cross. Father we ask that you help us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and that you use us to show the world that you are still active today. In Jesus Name, we pray. Amen

An Essential Thought from Sunday School:
Like King David, we must engage in self-reflection, and be courageous enough to face our failings and foibles. We will have to receive whomever the Lord sends to chastise us. We will have to sincerely repent and seek restoration. In order to be considered righteous persons, we will have to perform the humbling work of self-discovery and improvement.

Prayer from the Sunday School (July 3rd)

Father in heaven, I pray to be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. I pray to be more fervent and strategic in prayers for myself and others, and quick to repent of my sins or anything that does not please You. I seek to have a heart that is tender to You, and that I walk in obedience to your commands. I also pray for my community and our country, to put away our idols and turn our faces back to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

We as believers have a kingdom responsibility to share the Gospel with others so that when they receive the Gospel they will be sanctified through the TRUTH. The TRUTH is the word of God which separates all believers from this world and its government. We are separate, we are distinct, and we are the difference in this world, that's why God commands us to let your light so shine before men,that they may see your good works and glorify your FATHER, which is in Heaven.Oh! don't forget to leave your light on.
