Congratulations to Coach Tom Renshaw on being selected to be a AHSAA ALL STAR Coach for the Varsity Girls event in Montgomery!

We’re really excited to have Coach Renshaw leading the Indoor Soccer program at Covenant Dothan Recreation and bringing his plethora of expertise to the youth of the Wiregrass.

Houston Academy is proud to celebrate three outstanding representatives selected for the 2026 AHSAA North-South All-Star Games.

Summer is here, and we're excited to continue growing the game of volleyball by offering opportunities for both boys and girls to get involved!

🏐 NEW! Boys Volleyball Camp

Have a son who's interested in trying volleyball? This is the perfect opportunity!

Our Boys Volleyball Camp is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of the game while building confidence, teamwork, and athletic skills in a fun, encouraging environment.

Camp Dates

Rising 4th–6th Grade
July 20–21
1:30–4:00 PM

Rising 7th–9th Grade
July 22–23
1:30–4:00 PM

Cost: $50 per camper

Whether your son has never touched a volleyball or is looking to improve his skills, this camp is a great place to learn and have fun!

Our Youth Girls Volleyball League is back this fall, and registration is officially open!

Girls in 3rd through 8th grade are invited to join one of the fastest-growing youth volleyball leagues in the Wiregrass. The season is designed to help players develop their skills, learn the game, and compete in a positive, encouraging environment.

League Highlights

Open to girls in 3rd–8th grade
Matches played during September and October
Focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship
Great competition for both new and returning players

🏐GIRLS VOLLEYBALL IS BACK for Year 3! 🏐

Elementary School Volleyball for girls in 3rd through 8th grade returns this Fall with games in September and October!

From mastering fundamentals to developing into confident players on the court, this league continues to create opportunities for young athletes across the Wiregrass to compete, grow, and have fun close to home.

All under one roof will be some of the top youth volleyball talent in the Wiregrass, with players and teams represented from Dothan, Rehobeth, Headland, Ashford, Wicksburg, Slocomb, Geneva, Hartford, Ozark, Skipperville, and more!

Building on the success of previous seasons and complementing our popular Winter Volleyball Clinics, this league gives girls the chance to experience organized, officiated weeknight games similar to travel tournament competition without the long-distance travel.

Whether your daughter is new to volleyball or looking to take her game to the next level, this is a great opportunity to sharpen skills, build confidence, compete with friends, and prepare for future school and club volleyball opportunities.
