ANSWERED PRAYER!!!
You may remember my testimony of the almost immediate answer to prayer for the restoration of our prayer garden HIS PLACE.
I was more than distressed concerning the deterioration of God's prayer garden. I went earnestly to the Lord and told Him that surely it could not be right for golf courses, all over America, to be in perfect shape when His Garden was in disarray. I reminded our Father that we had spent a great deal of effort and money trying to repair it. We had failed. My prayer was: "Father you are just going to have to do this. It just cannot remain this way." Within two weeks our friend and partner Dennis Sauls came to me and said: Clay, I think I know how to fix His Place. He explained his idea and immediately I knew he had the right plan. I was going to propose to the board we get right on it. What I did not know was that Dennis meant to do it himself. His amazing vision was equaled only by his incredible efforts to bring His Place back to life. This has encouraged me more than I can express.
THERE WAS ONE THING WAS LEFT. The cross above the empty tomb had rotted and broken apart. Months earlier, the board had made the decision to replace the cross, which was susceptible to decay, with a cypress tree that had fallen at the Tolleson's lake front.
It was to be much bigger and heavier than the purchased lumber used to build the former crosses.
The tree was cut and formed into two pieces making a beautiful cross. The two separate pieces were moved to Omni. For months they laid under a shed. Mainly, because the size and weight of the pieces made our equipment inadequate to get the cross in the ground.
The more Dennis accomplished in bringing His Place back to, and beyond, it's former glory, caused the absence of the cross to weigh heavily upon me. It just seemed so wrong!
Our partner, Ryan Fountain, who was aware of how difficult it would be to get the cross in it's proper place, decided he was going assemble the two cross pieces and leave the installation to God.
After getting the cross assembled, he noticed men with boom trucks doing work near Omni. He went and informed them of our situation. He asked if they would consider installing the cross during one of their breaks. They were very willing.
Ryan's account of this story is wonderful. The men were obviously touched by the Presence of God as they erected the cross. They were meticulous in leveling the cross, packing the ground around the base, and making sure everything was exactly as it should be.
Ryan said that once they had it installed, the four men stood on the hill and just gazed up at the cross. Ryan prepared them some deer sausage. As they ate, he was afforded the opportunity to share Jesus with them.
ONLY GOD!
If God will provide a boom truck out in the woods, He will provide all that is needed to build His Promise.
