Last Sunday, we celebrated as Brother Keith Nunes took the beautiful step of baptism. This Sunday, we had the joy of watching him stand before us and deliver the Word! What a blessing to witness his faith journey continue to unfold. 🙏📖

Brother Keith, we are so proud of you and grateful for your willingness to answer God’s call. May God continue to strengthen, guide, and use you for His glory!

And, of course, we can’t forget the baptism celebration cake! It may not have survived the journey looking quite the way we planned, but it was still delicious! Sometimes the cake gets damaged, but the blessing remains! 🙌

Congratulations, Brother Keith! We’re celebrating you, your faith, and all that God is doing in your life.

Last Sunday was a day of celebration at First Baptist Church in Dorchester! 🎉

We were blessed to recognize our graduates and celebrate our June birthdays during worship. Congratulations to all of our graduates on this incredible milestone—we pray God's continued guidance and blessings as you begin your next chapter.

We also extend our warmest birthday wishes to everyone celebrating a June birthday. May God bless you with another year filled with joy, good health, and abundant grace.

☀️ Summer Worship Schedule

Please note that beginning this Sunday, our Sunday Worship Service will start at 9:30 AM.

This summer schedule will remain in effect through Labor Day weekend, and we will return to our regular 10:30 AM worship time after Labor Day.

We look forward to worshiping with you each Sunday. Thank you for joining us as we gather in faith, fellowship, and praise throughout the summer!

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, First Baptist Church in Dorchester proudly participated in the annual Dorchester Day Parade. Established in the early 1900s, Dorchester Day celebrates the founding of Dorchester in 1630 and has become one of Boston’s longest-running community traditions. Held each year on the first Sunday in June, the parade brings together residents, churches, schools, businesses, and community organizations to celebrate the neighborhood’s history, culture, and community pride.

Pastor Dana and Deacon Karen had the honor of attending the official Dorchester Day Parade Banquet and Dinner on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The evening celebrated the 2026 Chief Marshal and recognized outstanding community members for their dedication, service, and impact. We are grateful to be part of a community that continues to uplift and honor those making a difference.

Yesterday, we had the honor of attending the TABCOM Conference, where we celebrated a very special milestone for our own Pastor Dana. He was recognized and presented with a certificate in honor of his 10th Ordination Anniversary—a meaningful moment celebrating his years of faithful service and leadership.

We were also blessed by the beautiful sounds of our Bell Choir, whose performance added such a special touch to the occasion.

What happens after Easter? ✝️

The resurrection isn’t the end of the story, it’s the beginning of the journey. In Acts 14–22, we see what comes next: faith that is tested, perseverance through trials, and a commitment to continue spreading the Word no matter the obstacles.

The early church didn’t have it easy, but they stayed rooted, encouraged one another, and kept moving forward with purpose. That same calling lives in us today.

Thank you, Rev. Tennelle Woods, for reminding us that after the celebration comes the calling; and we are all equipped to keep going.

Hosanna in the highest! 🌿

Today we celebrate Palm Sunday; the beginning of Holy Week and a reminder of Jesus’ humble entry, unwavering love, and the promise of what’s to come.

This morning’s message, “Victory in Jesus,” from John 12:12–16, reminded us that even in moments we don’t fully understand, God’s plan is already in motion.

We take a moment to lift up a prayer for our church, our friends and families, our community, and the world. We ask for peace, healing, and continued grace. 💛

As we move through Holy Week, may our hearts remain open and anchored in His victory.
