Rhonda Ledbetter’s daughter, Susan, provided this information this morning:

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our mom’s passing. She went peacefully, surrounded by love. We are deeply saddened, but take comfort in knowing she is at rest. We are endlessly grateful for the love, kindness, and laughter she brought into our lives. Love you forever Momma!

We will share details regarding a service once plans are finalized. Thank you for all the love and support during this time.

Update on Rhonda Ledbetter from her daughter, Lynne:

Rhonda’s condition hasn’t improved over the last several days. She had signed a DNR and all machines will be turned off tomorrow after a meeting with the patient advocate (not sure what time that meeting will be).

Lynne and her sisters/family are very grateful for everyone’s prayer support.

We’ve received a request for prayer for Rhonda Ledbetter (daughter of George and Mary Sullivan, who fellowshipped at North Atlanta Bible Chapel for many years before they both went home to Heaven - Mary in 2012 and George in 2014).

Rhonda is in Cobb Hospital (since last Sunday)
after she fell and lacerated her liver and spleen. She has had to deal with sepsis, kidney dialysis, and being on a ventilator. She needs prayer please.

Regarding Johnnie Rawls (from daughter, Susan):

Prayers are appreciated for my family, especially Mom. Mom is very upset about no longer living with Tom. She has been discharged from PT at the facility because she wasn’t continuing to make progress and she’s too weak and unstable to move back to Tom’s house. She has some dementia which is causing paranoia and frequent, bizarre nightmares. She’s lost the ability to recognize that her dreams are just dreams. She thinks her dreams are real events. We’ve actually been dealing with this for a few years because it was also happening at Tom’s house and often times it would take a lot to convince her that it was just a dream. The problem is worsening. We are hopeful that her doctor can prescribe something that will help.

Update regarding Johnnie Rawls as posted by her daughter, Susan, and requesting continued prayers:

Mom is not bouncing back in rehab and they recommended she go to assisted-living. Tom found a wonderful facility run by a Christian family. We believe she will be discharged on Wednesday from rehab. We are hoping that eventually she will regain her strength and be able to return home but for now we appreciate prayers for her emotional adjustment to a new living environment.

Update from Susan Rawls:

New update: must be all y’alls prayers 😁 but today Mom has improved and is sitting up in bed talking and started eating again. She asked to get up and walk around. She doesn’t need hospice and we are thankful. We have seen this with her so many times before where she somehow recovers, by the grace of God.

Tom Rawls has updated us with this message about his mom, Johnnie Rawls:

My mom has been in the hospital since last Tuesday. (This makes 3 times she’s been in since November.) The hospital doctor is suggesting mom be placed in "comfort care". They cannot discharge her to Rehab because she's currently not capable of doing PT. (Her mental and physical state is not good.) The doctor said she’s up and down like a roller coaster, which is often the same thing at home. I don’t know if she will turn around or not, but the doctor doesn’t think so. Appreciate your prayers and those of the dear saints at North Atlanta.

None of us know when the Lord will call us home, but it seems like it might be soon for Johnnie (who celebrated her 100th birthday not long ago!). Of course, it’s difficult for her children to see her declining and it’s understandable they would love to see her bounce back again, as she’s done several times in the past couple of years.

Pray for comfort and rest and that the Lord’s purposes will be fulfilled and He name will be praised.

Prayer request from Susan Rawls (daughter of Johnnie Rawls)

Mom has been in the hospital again for about a week now and is not doing well. No one has any answers. The hospital is recommending something along the lines of end of life care. We will get more information soon and would appreciate prayer as we make decisions about what is best for Mom.
