Holy Rosary - Nashville

Mr. Rocha was pleased to be able to participate in Pope Saint John Paul II's Feast Day Mass yesterday. We pray God will continue to bless the JPII community.

“It is Jesus you seek when you dream of happiness; he is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; he is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is he who provokes you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is he who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is he who reads in your hearts your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle. It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be grounded down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal.” (Pope Saint John Paul II, Aug. 19, 2000)

Middle school celebrated big this afternoon with clouds of color filling the air and a conga line that stretched the whole track!
THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered their time, talent, and treasure to make this day a success!
We are still just $700 shy of our school goal for the gym improvements.
VIKING NATION will be resting well tonight after our big day!

Memories are being made on campus for our Viking Fun Run!
Our lower grades have biked, tricked, scooted, skipped, ran, and hopped around the track to help raise funds for our gym improvements!
VIKING NATION we are at 97% of our goal! We need your help to cross the finish line.
Middle School color run this afternoon to wrap up a beautiful day!

Twas the night before Fun Run, and all through the school,
The cones stood in rows and the water was cool;

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of color-bursts danced in their heads;
And parents were checking their pledges with care,
Still hoping a few more donations were there.

And what’s it all for? It’s a floor for the gym,
All sanded and sealed and protected and trim,
Where our kids can play ball, they can tumble and hop,
On a floor built to last from the bottom to top.

When out on the field there arose such a clatter,
The teachers came running to see what’s the matter.
A whole crowd of runners lined up in a row,
From the tiniest tots to the tallest. Let’s go!

“Now, Dashers! Now, Dancers! Now, Joggers and Jumpers!
On, Sprinters! On, Skippers! On, Walkers and Thumpers!
Through the pink! Through the blue! Through the green, one and all!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

So if you’ve been meaning to give, now’s the time.
Every dollar’s a step, and each step helps us climb.
Five thousand to go and our goal is complete,
With a brand-new gym floor for those colorful feet!

And I heard them all cheer as they ran out of sight:
“Happy Fun Run to all, and to all a good night!

We were blessed to have the Most Reverend J. Mark Spalding celebrate the Feast Our Lady of the Rosary with us today. During mass his excellency blessed the new tabernacle, statues and stained glass window. Thank you for your pastoral leadership of our Diocese and your witness of devotion and love for Our Blessed Mother.
