The fun continues for our UNITE crew!

Pastor Alex and Kayden continue at UNITE 2026 representing the Dogwood-Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church Charge while helping prepare children and youth to head back into their own communities ready to make a difference.

This week kids have focused on Jesus’ words:
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."� Matthew 5:9

Throughout the day, the children explored how moments of stillness can lead to peace—learning that God often speaks to us in quiet moments and calls us to share that peace with others. (But don’t worry — their days were also filled with fun activities that are ANYTHING but “still”!) 🤣

As a special reminder of that lesson, each child will take home a beautiful Seed Heart (seen at the end of the video). Planted in the ground and nurtured with care, the seed inside will grow—just as God can grow peace, kindness, and love in each of our hearts.

What a wonderful way to carry the message of UNITE beyond this week and into homes, schools, churches, and communities across Missouri. 🌱

Sending love and prayers to all the kiddos who are wrapping up their week and traveling home Friday. And thanks to all who help make this happen every year for this next generation!

Pastor Alex and Kayden are representing the Dogwood-Nelson Charge this week at the UNITE Youth Conference at Central Methodist University, joining United Methodists from across Missouri as they help kick off a youth ministry experience like no other!

This week is all about equipping our next generations to share God’s love and make a difference in the world. (Ok and maybe a little fun along the way!)

If Day 1 is any indication, it’s going to be an incredible week! We can’t wait to see what God has in store next.
