Crystal River Ministries mission has been and still is to spread the Gospel through music in hopes that some soul would be saved and come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
Johhny and Teresa “TK” Farmer have been married almost 42 years and have been singing together for that time. Crystal River was founded in 1987 after Johnny wrote a song by the same name. It later became Crystal River Band due to another group from Alabama also named Crystal River. After some time, the name was changed to Crystal River Ministries and has been for the past 20 years. Johnny currently plays piano and sings harmony. TK sings harmony. They have one son and two granddaughters.
Jimmy Templeton joined the group as a drummer in 1988. He later became lead vocalist for the group. He has been singing and drumming since his early teen years. He has served as Youth/Music minister since 80s/90s. He is currently the music minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Doddridge, AR. Jimmy is married to Tammy, they have two daughters and 8 grandchildren.
Charles Dorse has been with Crystal River for almost a year. He plays lead and acoustic guitar. He has played guitar since he was 7 years old. I love playing with Crystal River because they love Jesus as I do and want to spread the Gospel through music. He is currently part of the praise and worship team at First Assembly of God in Ashdown. Charles is married to Vhonda. They have 6 children, 18 grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Sohn McLean has been with Crystal River for almost a year and plays drums. He has been actively involved with Gospel music since the age of 10 drumming, singing and songwriting. Currently plays drums for several local music ministries in the Texarkana area and serves on the worship drummer for Legacy Baptist Church in Genoa. Sohn is married to Ashley, they have two daughters.
Vhonda Dorse is our Media manager. She is part of the Children’s Ministry and sings with the praise and worship at First Assembly of God in Ashdown.
