Greenburgh Hebrew Center is the proud recipient of an Adamah grant! Our ECC classrooms, currently in use for the GHC ECC Summer Camp, are now air conditioned! The A/C is happening by means of energy efficient heat pumps! The purchase of the pumps was made possible in part by a grant from the Adamah NY Climate Action Fund (https://adamah.org/climate/coalition/). Special thanks to the Green Team at GHC and special thanks to Adamah (www.adamah.org/coalition) for the grant!

‘Where Hearts & Hands Grow’

Check out the Early Childhood Center of Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry! Classes for toddlers, 3’s and 4’s. Extended days offered until 6pm. The GHC ECC offers a combined secular and Judaic curriculum in a warm, emotionally supportive, creative and fun atmosphere. Movement, yoga, music, cooking, nature, and regular visits from our Rabbi and Cantor enhance the curriculum. We follow the standards of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). Check out the new, state-of-the art playground!

Greenburgh Hebrew Center (Dobbs Ferry) is so excited to be hosting the PJ Library Bookmobile this summer! Come and stop by Sunday, July 19th from 9:30am - 11:30am, and grab some new PJ Library summer reads, free of cost. Your kids will also enjoy book-related crafts, snacks and some playtime! Add a little extra Jewish joy to your summer. It’s stories, sunshine and fun all in one!

GHC participated in Ardsley's Mitzvah Mixer event this past Sunday at the Middle School. Participants at GHC's booth created 'Cups of Kindness' which were given to senior residents at the Atria Woodlands in Ardsley. These cups contained tissue paper flowers, tea bags, candy and friendly notes prepared by visitors to our booth! This event was very successful.

Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry is hiring! Our dynamic and growing Early Childhood Center is looking for Assistant Teachers for the 2026-27 School Year. We are seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to support our preschool classrooms. The ideal candidate is warm, collaborative, and passionate about early childhood education.

The hours are Monday–Friday, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Must arrive by 8:45 AM to greet families and students. The availability to work after 12 pm is preferred.

This blood drive benefits the NY Blood Center and Magen David Adom. Magen David Adom (MDA) and Blood Centers of America (BCA) - the largest blood supply network in the USA – have a signed agreement: If, heaven forbid, Israel is unable to collect its own residents’ blood due to continued war, natural disaster or other unforeseen emergency, BCA will ship blood from the USA to Israel. Your blood donation also strengthens the US national blood supply, which has still not recovered to pre-Covid 19 levels.

All are invited on Sunday, May 4, 11:30 am, to the Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry to meet and hear Anna Leiser-Kleinhaus speak about her life as a Holocaust survivor.

Anna Leiser-Kleinhaus, born in 1936 in Antwerp, Belgium, describes her life while in hiding during the war, her times in a French orphanage, posing as a Catholic in a French town with her mother and returning to Antwerp with her mother after the war and reuniting with her father after his liberation from a concentration camp. She studied in Geneva, Switzerland where she met her husband. Immigrated to the US where she received a doctorate in pharmacology and had a productive career while raising three children. Now retired she enjoys the company of her grandchildren.
