FROM THE PASTOR The days are lengthening, and spring is
nearing. We have entered the season of Lent –
a time of preparation and reflection leading up
to Easter. I often think of these forty days as
time to turn down the volume, simplify my
schedule, and become mindful of my
environment. It’s time to take a stroll with my
Creator daily...whether that’s a walk in the
brisk air, a read in my book of daily
devotionals, or putting pen to paper in my
journal.
During the month of March, our worship
services will take us on a journey as we walk with God through the wilderness,
and encounter companions along the way. You may have spiritual practices which
help you with your walk with Christ. Or perhaps you’re seeking new and varied
ways to deepen your relationship with God and our faith community. I hope you
will join us each Sunday as we explore some fresh ideas and reflections on the
Lenten journey.
One way to incorporate a new routine or ritual is to practice, practice,
practice! We have a trail guide to share with you during the upcoming weeks
titled Practicing Lent. This little guide is designed to deepen your Lenten journey
either alone or with friends and family by focusing on weekly reading, meditation
and new practices. Practicing Lent is available at the back of the sanctuary.
What was once dormant awakens, if we awaken our hearts to newness and
mystery.

Come and learn about "Ubuntu" What it is. Why we do it. Please bring a toiletry item to be donated to CASA. Items needed: toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, deodorant, chap stick, hand cream, wash cloth, small hand towel, soap.

When faith rises, fear quiets. Prayer isn’t about hoping God hears you, it’s about trusting that He already does. Shift your words, and let your heart follow. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1
Take a Mindful Moment:
Pause where you are. Take a slow breath in, then out. Silently replace “I hope” with “I trust.” Replace “I wish” with “I know.” Let your next prayer come from certainty, not uncertainty.
Lord, teach me to pray from a place of trust, not fear. Help me speak words of faith when doubt tries to lead my thoughts. I choose to believe You are already at work, even when I cannot see it. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
