Daily Prayer

Father,

Thank You for the provision of Your Word and all the nourishment and strength I receive from it. Help me to guard what I’m watching and listening to and to be careful with my relationships. I want to put my energies into my destiny.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Discussion of the Day

Though we may not realize it, we’re always feeding ourselves. What we watch and listen to, the people we’re around, and the thoughts we’re dwelling on are feeding our inner man. If you go to lunch with coworkers who feed you gossip, jealousy, and disrespect, before long you’ll be gossiping, jealous, and critical. Whatever you feed on is going to grow. If you’re always feeding on negative thoughts, thinking, I’ll never get out of debt, or get the job I want, or meet the right person, you’re feeding doubt, fear, and mediocrity.

Start feeding your faith, your hopes, your dreams. Your diet needs to be what God says about you. “I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I am a masterpiece, made in the image of Almighty God.” When you feed on God’s values, your value will get stronger. Stay on your diet. No more feeding doubt, fear, and offense. No more hanging around the wrong people. Keep feeding your destiny. I love you all and have a blessed day.

Daily Prayer

Father,

Thank You for being a shield about me. Thank You that the enemy doesn’t have the last word when something negative happens to me. I will use the power of “but” and see Your promises come to pass.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Discussion of the Day

In today’s Scripture, David was saying, “God, my enemies are multiplying.” He not only had other armies trying to stop him, but his own son Absalom was trying to take the kingdom from him. David could have thought, I can handle people from the outside trying to take me down, but now it’s my own son. I’m done. This could have been David’s end. But after David stated the hard facts, he took it one step further and said, “But You, O Lord, are my shield.”

Notice that David added the “but.” “I’m having a lot of trouble, but the Lord is my shield.”

What’s the message? Don’t let the enemy have the last word. Always add the “but.”

“The medical report doesn’t look good, but the Lord is my healer.”

“A coworker did me wrong, but God is fighting my battles.”

“I went through a loss, but God has beauty for ashes.”

Every time something negative happens, answer back with a “but.” I love you all and have a blessed day.

Daily Prayer

Father,

Thank You that the dreams You have put in my heart are always possible because no one is more powerful than You. Thank You that I can dare to pray big, to ask big, and to believe big. I believe that You have great things for me and are taking me where I could never go on my own.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Discussion of the Day

In today’s Scripture, God is saying, “I have nations for you. I have something awesome in your future, something bigger than you’ve imagined, but you have to ask.” You’re not going to see the nations, you’re not going to see God do great things, if you’re praying small, weak, limited prayers. There are dreams that God has put in your heart that you can’t accomplish on your own. There are obstacles you’ll face that are too big for you to overcome by yourself. If you don’t learn to pray bold prayers, if you don’t learn to ask God big, you’ll get stuck where you are.

Bold prayers open doors you could never open and turn impossible situations around. When you pray boldly, you’re releasing your faith. You’re saying, “God, I know that You’re the all-powerful Creator of the universe, that You can take me where I can’t go on my own.” Ask Him for what you want Him to do, ask Him for what you’re believing for, ask Him today, and watch what God will do. I love you all and have a blessed day.
