At Walnut Street Christian Child Care Center, we’re always excited to connect with caring, dependable people who have a heart for working with children.

We provide care for children from 6 weeks through 5 years old and understand that everyone’s schedule looks a little different. Because of that, we strive to offer flexible scheduling whenever possible based on the needs of both our center and our employees.

📌 Interested in enrolling at Walnut Street Christian Child Care Center? Here’s how our waitlist works!

Thank you for your interest in our program! We are so honored that so many families consider us to care for their children.

The fastest and easiest way to join our waitlist is by emailing:

Please include:
• Child’s full name
• Date of birth (or expected due date if you’re expecting!)
• Desired start date
• Desired schedule (full-time, part-time, specific days, etc.)
• Parent/guardian name
• Best phone number and email address

🤍 Expecting a baby?
The best time to join a childcare waitlist is as soon as you find out you’re expecting. Infant spots are our most limited and often fill well in advance.

One thing we’re incredibly thankful for is that many of our families stay with us from infancy all the way through preschool. Because children often remain in our program for several years, openings don’t become available very often.

Our largest group of openings typically becomes available each August, when our oldest children transition into our preschool program or head off to kindergarten, creating space for younger children to move up. Because of this, enrolling as an infant often provides the greatest opportunity to remain in our program through the preschool years.

As openings become available, we contact families whose requested start dates, schedules, and ages best match the opening.

Already on our waitlist? We encourage you to check in with us periodically by email to let us know you’re still interested in care and to update us if your childcare needs have changed. This helps us keep our waitlist as current as possible.

From April 6–17, we’re exploring all things Careers - and what a fun adventure it has been so far! Our friends have loved learning about different jobs and imagining what they might want to be one day.

Catherine Jones with Realty Executives Hometown Living came to talk all things real estate 🏡

Paige Bumpus with Crosspoint Church taught us what it means to be a kids director ✝️

Ryan Hopkins & Kelsey Porter with Dickson Pediatric Denistry educated us on the importance of oral health and how you can make a career out of it 🦷

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who have come to share their careers with us - you made it come to life! We can’t wait to see who we have next!

Registration for our preschool program opens Monday March 2nd. Reminder that if your child is 3+ and potty trained you can register for preschool while still holding your spot in childcare!

We are so excited to begin welcoming new families to Walnut Street Christian Preschool for the upcoming school year!

At Walnut Street, our days are filled with learning, laughter, faith, and meaningful connection. We are honored to partner with families during these precious early years and provide a loving, Christ-centered environment where children thrive.

For the 2026–2027 school year, we will offer:
🖍️ 2-Day Preschool (8:00–1:00) for ages 3–5
🖍️ 4-Day Preschool (8:00–3:00) for children entering kindergarten in 2027
🖍️ Extended care options available for our 4-Day families

📆 Applications will open the morning of March 2nd, and the link will be posted publicly right here for everyone to access.

Spots are limited, and each application is thoughtfully reviewed as we build our preschool community for the year ahead.

We cannot wait to meet new families and welcome you into ours. It’s going to be such a sweet year!
