Meet Pastor Covale McRae and his wife Dee McRae!
We’re so excited to have him leading our church family. His journey with Christ is a story of devotion, growth, and an eagerness to serve. Here’s a little about his journey and passion for sharing God’s Word.
Brother Covale McRae accepted Jesus Christ in 2018, and just a few years later, in 2021, he surrendered his life to preach the Word of God. Though he humbly acknowledges he doesn’t have decades of experience, his heart for ministry is deep and authentic. He served a year at Pinegrove Missionary Baptist Church in Diboll, TX under Brother Jerry Young, and he has preached at many other churches, stepping in wherever God has called him to minister.
His favorite verse, Matthew 6:33, guides his life: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” This scripture keeps him humble and focused on seeking God’s truth above all else.
Brother Covale McRae is inspired by the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. He is also passionate about the Word of God, not just for study, but for meaningful discussion. He loves engaging in Bible conversations and exploring diverse perspectives to challenge understanding and grow in faith.
Family is central to his life. He treasures his wife and children, valuing them second only to his relationship with Christ. Whether through life’s roses or thorns, he is committed to nurturing both his spiritual walk and his family relationships.
When he’s not in the Word, he enjoys the outdoors: fishing, hunting, and the beauty of God's creation, though he would gladly choose fellowship and ministry over any hobby. He has a genuine desire to grow spiritually and help others do the same, living by the motivation: “If Jesus could see me and find a reason to die, then when I see others, I must find a reason to try.”
As he shares his heart, he leaves us with this: “And through it all, to glorify my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him, I am absolutely nothing.”
Through his preaching and leadership, Brother Covale McRae has inspired us with his love for Christ and dedication to our church family. We look forward to growing together as we embrace the vision God continues to place on his heart for our community.
