This week's Hymn of the Week is "Jesus Paid It All", found on page #276 of our hymnal book, Rejoice Hymns.

Some Hymn History:
This hymn began as a poem around 1865, written by Elvina Hall, a member of the choir at Monument Street Methodist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. After sharing her poem with the church organist, John T. Grape, he composed the music to accompany the hymn. Over the years, some of the hymn’s words have been edited or altered, but its central message has remained the same: the redemption and salvation made possible through Jesus Christ. How can we pray for you this week? From back-to-school season, to family situations, to everyday life, God wants you to take your worries and burdens to him (1 Peter 5:6-7), and He also calls upon us to pray for one another (James 5:16).
