I Believe: The Bible | Day 3

The Bible isn't a collection of disconnected stories with different heroes. It's one big story with one Hero: Jesus.

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture points us to Christ. The Old Testament anticipates His coming, the Gospels reveal His life, death, and resurrection, and the rest of the New Testament shows us what it means to live as His people.

That changes the way we read the Bible. Instead of always asking, "Where am I in this story?" we can begin by asking, "What does this show me about God, His plan of redemption, and Jesus?"

The Bible tells one beautiful, unified story of a God who saves—and we're not the hero. Jesus is.

Today, ask God to open your eyes and mind as you read His Word so you can see Christ more clearly throughout Scripture.

I Believe: The Bible | Day 2

Have you ever read the whole Bible?

From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture tells one incredible story—the story of God's redemption through Jesus Christ. The Old Testament points forward to Him, and the New Testament reveals the fulfillment of God's promises through Him.

Reading the whole Bible helps us see that bigger picture. We begin to recognize how the stories, promises, prophecies, and people throughout Scripture ultimately point us to Jesus.

And it may be more doable than you think! About 15 minutes a day can take you through the entire Bible in roughly a year.

Today's challenge is simple: Read your Bible. Not just our favorite books or familiar passages, but the whole story God has given us—and ask Him to help you see Jesus throughout it.

What are you building your life on?

God has given us a firm foundation: His Word. Scripture isn't simply a collection of stories or good advice. It is God-breathed, living and active, and one of the primary ways God reveals Himself to us.

Through His Word, we come to know Jesus more deeply. We learn God's character, recognize His truth, understand His will, and allow the Holy Spirit to shape our hearts and lives.

What an incredible gift it is to have God's Word so readily available to us! The question is: Are we building our lives on it?

As we begin this new 5-day devotional, let's commit to spending time in Scripture—not simply to gain more knowledge, but to know Jesus more.
