High school students, join us for a fun summer night of mini golf! We’ll be meeting at DeWitt Golf Center on Wednesday, July 22, from 6:00–7:30 PM. Whether you’re aiming for a hole-in-one or just coming to hang out with friends, this is a great chance to connect and enjoy the evening together.

Mini golf is on us—just meet us at DeWitt Golf Center and get ready for a great night. If you’d like a treat afterward, feel free to bring money for ice cream, but it’s completely optional.

Mission Trip Day 5!!

Last service day!! Team 1 went back and folded.. and folded…and folded some more!! Thousands of shirts folded and sorted for wherever God uses them!

Team 2 finished the “grout house.” A clean fresh home is nearly ready for the owners to move back into. Almost two years later and they are home!! The floor pictured is one of the only things that was left after the flood. What a great reminder that Christ takes what is broken and redeems it! We move forward with new, but never forget what Christ has done and saved us from.

Team 3 started the shower for Unicoi Christian church. We ended our week serving those that hosted us. We also are ordering the shower pieces for them so that the next team has another shower! Helping the helpers.

Mission Trip Day 4! A little late the exhaustion is hitting 🙂

Today we were asked to reflect on one word that describes our trip so far. My word - Real. This trip is just that, real. We are serving real people with real needs. We see real devastation and hurt. We are doing real kingdom work. We are making real connections. We are seeing what it means to take our faith to the next level, to make it real.

Today we served at a lady’s house, assisting her with all the things she needed done. We fixed her gate, did some spray foam insulating, fixed her siding and critter proofed her house.

We had a group return to the house from yesterday and continue to get it ready to be moved into. The homeowners showed up and we got to hear a bit of their story. The flood here happened on a beautiful day, then a road began. 10 minutes later everything was under water. Real stories, real people.

Finally, a group went to a lady’s house to assist with a ramp. She was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer… again. It takes 3 people to help her move, but now with a ramp she can claim a bit of that independence back! Real tangible change.

These students are amazing. Never backing down from a new skill, always willing to do something. There has not been one ask that if we could physically do it these students didn’t jump at the challenge. That’s Real people focused faith. Building up the citizenship of Heaven and helping our heavenly neighbors in their need.

One more day! Prayers for energy and strength to continue to love people well!

Mission Trip Day 3!!

Today our first group assisted in the clean up of a local ministry. We cleaned the gutters, mowed the lawn and w**d whipped the building, put in a new mailbox, and helped prep for their service day tomorrow! We return in the morning to help serve food to families in need.

Our second group visited a home that is almost rebuilt from the flood. At the peak of the flood the water was moving at a rate that moved more water than Niagara Falls. The home needed a full rebuild and we are able to help put the finishing touches on!

We also had the chance to have a HUGE blessing. One of our students has family down here and they opened up their pool for a relaxing late afternoon. Cannot begin to describe how good it felt and how blessed we feel through them! It truly reminds me how Gods community is global!

Tomorrow is another great day of service and fun!

Mission Trip day 2!!

Today we got the chance to attend Unicoi Christian’s church service! Our students were invited to serve - as worship leaders, communion helpers and greeters! We also had the chance to watch a man named Nick make his public declaration of faith through his baptism!

In the afternoon we had the chance to tour some of our worksites and meet the people we are going to serve. Lots of good things coming!

We finished the day hiking the Appalachian Trail! It was a great time! What an awesome display of Gods creation and majesty! Landen reminded us of this “God created all of this, but we are His greatest creation!”

EARLY morning tomorrow as we hit the ground running! Prayers for good weather and lots of energy!

Mission Trip Day 1!!!

We have made it to Unicoi TN and are settled in after a LONG car ride! Praise God for safe travels, fun car rides, and awesome people we have met already!

Church and fun tomorrow to celebrate Father’s Day and get ready for an awesome week of serving!!
