Devotional Thought 6/1

“And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.”

51 My, how we could deal there a week. Notice, It’s a Revelation, this Book is, to the “servants” of God for the last time, “when the time is at hand,” when this Book will be revealed. Now, on over in the Book, we find out that the Book was closed, and shut up, and sealed, until the end time. Through the ages they’ve tried it. Remember, the Bible that was taken out of the hand of God sitting on His Throne, It was closed, and sealed with seven seals on the back, and no man in the Heavens and earth, nowhere, was worthy to take the Book, or to loose the seals, or even look thereon. But the Lamb come and opened It.52 You remember Daniel? Daniel, at the end time, he saw, his last vision, at the closing of his ministry; a vision-seer. 53 And look here, “sent His angel,” about sixty-some-odd years after Pentecost, here He is “sending His angel to signify things that must shortly come to pass.”

Brother Branham said:

If a runner is running around the track, and one takes a shortcut, and cuts through the field, and beats the other one there by a half-hour, still he will be disqualified at the end of the race. He’s got to play it according to the rules of the game, or he’s disqualified. 124 And that’s the way we have to do, the race of life that we’re running now, it has to be played according to God’s qualifications, or we’ll lose when we get there. Whether we’re President, whether we are the Governor, or a minister, or who, what church we belong to, or what denomination, the rules of the game has to be kept, we must run it fair, we must play it by the rules; we must preach the Word, we must do it willingly. 125 Paul said in, I believe in Hebrews the 12th chapter, “That seeing we are compassed about with such a great cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin does so easily beset us, that we might run with patience the race that’s set before us.” Paul was speaking on the Olympics, and so forth, that was in Greece and Rome, and so forth, he knowed that you had to play that game fair, for if you did not, you would be disqualified. 126 And tonight, as borned-again Christians, as believers here at the end time, we’ve got to play the game according to the rules.

How does fortunetellers work? How does evil spirits travel? I want you to believe me, as your pastor, ’cause you’re the one I’m speaking to. Devils travel in the name of the “Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.” They cut feathers, and everything else, and throw spells on each other, through the name of “Father, Son, Holy Ghost,” call it the three high names. The mother of it is Catholic churches. They go to these little statues and kneel there, and cut a feather with scissors, and turn it backwards, and throw spells on their neighbors, and so forth, where they’re burnt to death, and everything else, for it.
