Dewey Christian Church is one of over 10,000 congregations, patterned after the church found in the New Testament scriptures. We are an non-denominational congregation with no creed but Christ and no book but the Bible. We are seeking to save the lost and unite Christians upon the sole basis of the Divine Scriptures.

Praying for a great memorial weekend for you all!!

Last few weeks we had some internet issues so no luck on sermons online.

Looking forward to worshipping Jesus the Lord together again soon.

One of the dangerous side effects of consumer Christianity is that people begin evaluating churches the same way they evaluate restaurants, gyms, streaming platforms, or brands.

“Did I enjoy it?”
“Did it meet my needs?”
“Did it inspire me enough?”
“Did my family like the experience?”

But the New Testament asks completely different questions:

Are people being formed into holiness?
Are believers carrying one another’s burdens?
Is the gospel being proclaimed faithfully?
Are disciples being made?
Is the church reflecting the character of Christ?

Consumerism trains people to think church exists for them.

The kingdom of God teaches people they exist for Christ.
