Please use our new giving link to help support the ministries of St. This church was organized in 1973 by local residents of Devine under the leadership of Roberta Hundley, and was sponsored by Christ Church in San Antonio, TX. The mission was officially founded by Bishop Gosnell. Frank Ambuhl. The first service was held in May 1973 at St. Joseph's School Building. The church building was complete

d in 1975 and dedicated by Bishop Dicus on October 29, 1975. It was concecrated by Bishop Bailey on October 26, 1983. The church continues to be a mission of the diocese. It is located in Medina County and is a member of the Central Convocation.

Hello everyone. I'm posting a call to action to help with all the yard work we need help with. If you have a chainsaw, w**deater or can help move branches, we need you. We had 3 trees fall due to the recent storms, one landed on a neighbor's fence. The Bishop's Committee decided to have a contractor knock down the rest of the dead trees. As you can see in the photos, there's a lot of tree trunks and branches that need to be cut and moved. You'll also notice the very tall grass that I couldn't mow needs w**deating. We want the grounds of St. Matthias to be safe and reflect the glory of God in our stewardship of the property. Joe and I can't do it all and appreciate any help you can provide. Please call Joe or myself if you can help. If you can't help with yard work, we still need help in collecting bags of rice and beans for the food pantry.
