When Anger Has Overtaken You
July 2nd, 2021
It’s a wonderful day to be a child of God. So often in our lives, we find ourselves engaged in circumstances that have wounded us. You find yourself frustrated and angry about the results of a personal matter. No matter how hard you try, the thoughts weigh heavily on your mind. You pray, but you feel the same. You fast, but you feel the same. You cry out, but you feel the same. You received spiritual advice, but you feel the same. Have you been there? Are you there now?
This morning, I have been commissioned to come and speak to you. My friend, what do you do When Anger Has Overtaken You? After all you have attempted to do, the anger seems to remain within you. Over time, people have angered you with their evil words. You know it’s wrong to feel that way, but you do. You feel guilty about your thoughts, but they’re still there. You tell no one fearing their judgment of you. You notice how difficult it has become for you to pray. You cannot focus at work, or in the classroom, or at the church. Yes you are in ministry, but you still have an anger issue. They have moved on with their lives, but you find yourself “stuck” in the same spot. The Bible declares in Ephesians 4:31 - Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
My brother, my sister, When Anger Has Overtaken You, it is then that youmust ask God to purify your heart. I know you have attempted to let it go, but until you allow God to deliver you, the enemy will continue to use the situation against you. True deliverance comes from God. True healing comes from the Lord. True forgiveness starts with God. Who are you angry with? Have you noticed a hindrance in your spiritual growth? The Bible declares in Ephesians 4:26 - Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Point to Remember: Times of anger will come, but never allow it to control your behavior.
Scripture Reading for Today: Matthew 5:22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of [d]hell fire.
May God Bless you at Your point of need!
