Join us this weekend at Old St. Mary’s as we celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, honoring the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Masses will be celebrated on:
📍 Saturday at 5:30 PM
📍 Sunday at 8:30 AM & 11:30 AM

Following the 11:30 AM Mass on Sunday, we will take part in a Corpus Christi Procession through Greektown, bringing our witness of faith into the heart of the city.

🚶‍♂️✝️ Join us for one of the most beautiful traditions of the Catholic Church.

On Corpus Christi Sunday (June 7) , we will take Our Lord in procession through the streets of Greektown immediately following the 11:30 AM Mass. Together, we will publicly witness to the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and bring Christ into the heart of our city.

As Fr. John reminds us, “People get to see Jesus. They get to see God amongst them, literally.” Come walk with us, pray with us, and be part of this powerful expression of faith. And stay afterward—there may even be a treat waiting for everyone!

The Detroit Grand Prix is taking place downtown, and several road closures will be in effect from May 26 through June 4, impacting traffic around the parish and throughout downtown Detroit.

We encourage all parishioners and visitors to:
• Leave earlier than usual
• Check your GPS for the latest routing information
• Follow posted traffic signs and detours

For added convenience, the Detroit People Mover is operating free of charge during Grand Prix week.

Congratulations to Natalia Magri and Ignatius Erskine on receiving these beautiful Sacraments this past weekend. 🥳

Natalia received the Sacrament of Confirmation on May 24, 2026, celebrated by Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger.

Ignatius received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion on May 24, 2026, celebrated by Fr. John Maksym.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide Natalia, and may Jesus in the Eucharist always remain close to Ignatius throughout their lives. Congratulations to both families on this joyful occasion!
