Dear Friends,
Greetings in the Worthy Name of Jesus Christ!
As many of you know, Detroit Christian Church is celebrating our 150th anniversary this year. This milestone is so much bigger than just our local church—it’s a celebration honoring the Lord Jesus Christ for faithfully leading our church family across generations.
Through His grace, this church has made it through two world wars, the Great Depression, and a global pandemic. Times have definitely changed around us. We’ve seen the town's population decline, the interstate bypass us, and local family farms change hands, but Detroit Christian Church remains. It is truly a miracle of Divine Providence that our doors are still open, and by God’s grace, we plan to "keep on keeping on" as we follow Christ. We are also praying that God continues to bless all the vital rural churches across Pike County.
We would love for you to join us for this historic weekend:
• Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 2:00 PM
We’ll gather to sing, share testimonies, and hear a short message. We are also excited to dedicate a plaque with our newly planted maple tree to honor our roots.
• Sunday, June 7, 2026 | 10:30 AM
Join us for a special anniversary service! We will actually be replicating the exact order of worship from our 100th anniversary back on June 7, 1976.
