“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.”
Isaiah 61:1 NLT
We thank God our Father for calling all of us to share His word, to love like He loves and bring deliverance to the captives.
There’s no other life than one lived for Him. To serve Him and humanity is an honor like no other. It isn’t always easy but we thank God that we don’t do it alone. He is always with us and always provides. We are beyond grateful for the friends that partner with us and pray for you always as we couldn’t do it without you. “If you give generously you receive more, but if you keep back what you should give, you end up poor.”
Proverbs 11:24 FBV
These photos are of our friends that meet us in the park for ministry, prayer, fellowship, food, and provisions (shoes, clothing, blankets, medical supplies etc.). Many of these friends are bound by addictions.
The second picture is of Jean (blue jacket) who was in desperate need of new shoes as hers had open holes on the bottom. We brought a new pair of Skechers that just happened to be her exact size and matched what she was wearing that day. God is beyond good and knows our every need. The 6th picture is of me and our friend Eric. He and Jasmine were squatters in a home near the park a year ago. We would take them groceries, blankets and meals weekly. We stopped by one day and they were no longer there. We asked others and we were told they had moved. Two weeks ago Eric came by the park with news that he had been to rehab and is no longer on drugs, he has his kids back, and is living with his dad and two kids and taking an internship for a job. It moved my heart to tears. All Glory to God.
A wise friend once told me that we don’t always see the fruit of our labor but heaven does. We plant the seeds and God does the rest.
In Octorber, Duane, Carissa and I will be in Honduras ministering in Pastors meetings, in prisons, churches and schools. Your prayers are always appreciated.
