Zion Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Detroit, Michigan is a parish in the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church and a member of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church. She is affiliated with the English District of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. A fragile but lively inner-city congregation, Zion is comfortably integrated and has parishioners from various ethnic, religious and socio-economic backgr

ounds. Zion is committed to outreach and ministry within the neighborhood and surrounding community. At the same time, Zion also attracts and welcomes people from all of Metro Detroit. The mission of Zion is to bring the Gospel of our Lord in preaching and the Sacraments. To accomplish this mission, Zion uses the sacramental and liturgical worship of the Lutheran Church. You will find that Zion aspires to worship that is beautiful, reverent, traditional and inspiring. As one visitor has said, "When you're at Zion, you know you are standing before the holy God." We welcome you to join us at Zion anytime. Our Pastor, Rev. Mark Braden, is available to minister to your needs, and our people are eager to make your acquaintance.
