Bethel Community Transformation Center (formerly the historic Temple Beth El) is more than a building; it is a living story of what happens when sacred space is shared. Within these walls, Black and Jewish neighbors have worshiped, learned, organized, and dreamed together—showing Metro Detroit that our communities are stronger side by side than we could ever be standing alone.

Because of this unique, shared history, our space has become a bridge: a place where hard conversations and honest friendships grow, where we confront racism and antisemitism together, and where young people can see that solidarity is not a slogan, it is a way of life.

We are excited to invite Black and Jewish high school students to apply for the Coalition Academy, the Coalition for Black & Jewish Unity’s Leadership Academy. If you are ready to learn, listen, and lead for justice and understanding, this opportunity is for you.

1st: Took a tour of God's Path Clinic!
2nd: Explore plants and flowers at the upcoming Pollinator Habitat in our community!
