Scripture:
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his steadfast love endures forever." — Psalm 136:1
Reflection:
As the week comes to a close, we pause and look back with gratitude. Some moments brought joy. Some brought challenges. Some prayers were answered in ways we expected, and others remain held in God's loving care.
Today we bring our week before God. We release what we cannot carry alone, give thanks for the blessings we received, and prepare our hearts to gather in worship.
God meets us not only in extraordinary moments, but also in ordinary ones—the morning sunrise, a shared conversation, a helping hand, a moment of laughter, or a quiet reminder that we are loved.
Prayer:
Faithful God, Thank You for walking with us through this week. Receive our joys and worries, our gratitude and our concerns.
Forgive us where we have fallen short. Renew us where we are tired. Open our hearts to receive Your grace.
As we prepare to gather with Your people, fill us with gratitude, humility, and joy. May we enter Sunday worship ready to celebrate Your love and share Your peace. Amen.
A Gentle Practice:
Before the weekend begins, name three blessings from this past week and offer a simple prayer of thanks.
Blessing:
May compassion guide our hands, peace dwell within our hearts, hope light our path, and Christ's love embrace the whole world. Amen.
