Third Tuesday of the Month: 7:00pm-8:00pm Through our worship of God, we joyfully commit ourselves to imitate the Good Shepherd. We serve our brothers and sisters when we comfort the lost, feed the

hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless and welcome the stranger. Our service is rooted in our experience of God’s love, which calls us to be the Good News of Jesus in the Downtown Detroit Community.

Fr. Sal was ordained a priest on this day in 2012! Join us in celebrating his ordination anniversary, thanking him for his generosity to our parish community, and for his persistent "yes" to the Lord's will in his life. We are blessed by his vocation as a priest and grateful he is our pastor. Drop a word of gratitude for him in the comments, and be sure to say a prayer for him today!

This Pentecost, seek the Holy Spirit! Ask for the Spirit's gifts, look for the Spirit's fruits. Ask the Holy Spirit to allow you carry out the mission that only you can.

Come, Holy Spirit, come!
And from your celestial home
Shed a ray of light divine!

Join us in wishing a happy birthday to Michael, our Neighborhood Services Director! 🥳

Michael selflessly leads our ministry to our neighbors with a heart of authentic compassion and never ceases to share the love and joy of Christ with anyone who crosses his path. We are grateful for the ways he serves here at St. Aloysius. Would you say a prayer for Michael today?

Last month, our Neighborhood Services ministry showed up week after week, with food, care, compassion, and the love of God.

3,000+ pounds of fresh produce and pantry staples shared.
1,200+ sandwiches distributed.
1,100+ cups of coffee and cocoa poured.
750+ burgers and hot dogs served.
300+ articles of clothing given.

But beyond every meal, every cup, and every act of care, relationships were built and we saw the power of reminding people they are not forgotten and that they're deeply loved.

Thank you to every volunteer, supporter, and faithful presence who made this month possible. This is what happens when faith becomes action.

"We thank you, heroic mothers, for your invincible love! We thank you for your intrepid trust in God and in his love. We thank you for the sacrifice of your life." —Pope St. John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae, 86

Happy Mother's Day! It's a joy to celebrate all mothers today who physically or spiritually bear and bring forth new life, revealing the Lord's tender heart.
