Anchored in the Bible, Unity has gleaned from the scriptures of many faiths as well as from science certain universal laws for successful living and peace of mind. Among these laws are the Law of Mind Action (often called the Law of Attraction), the Law of Giving and Receiving, the Law of Forgiveness, and the Law of Love. We have found that by applying these principles in all our affairs, our live
s have been incredibly enriched and transformed with deeper relationships, financial abundance, peace of mind and a fulfilled life. The Law of Attraction popularized recently by the movie The Secret has been taught by Unity since we started in 1892. We teach that your thought-power shapes the course of your life. Along with our sister centers and churches in towns and cities all over the world, we teach the principles of scientific prayer that were popularized in films such as “What the Bleep” and “The Secret”. We teach that you have the power to shape your life through the power of your focused thought, creative visualization, and the proper use of your feelings. We teach that there is an integral relationship between the power of the quanta in which we live and our thoughts and feelings, which relationship results in the shaping of our world and our lives.
