Amanda is home from the hospital. Unfortunately, Louise is now in the hospital. She fell at home and broke her hip. She has had surgery and is in ICU.

Rev. Fowler was honored today to offer part of the invocation for Mayor Sheffield along with Rev. Spencer Ellis, Rabbi Yisrael Pinson, and Imam Radwan Mardini. Bless the Mayor, the City Council, the City Clerk and the Detroit Police Commission.

Today's volunteers decorated the sanctuary while Aaron and Darnell hung the wreath above the door outside. The people in the photo sorted and packaged 600 pairs of shoes. Becky and Zach prepared lunch for everyone. Yeah church. (The beautiful Christmas trees are in memory of Ray Travis.)

This Sunday, October 19, is both LAITY SUNDAY and the Detroit International Marathon. We'll have cider and donuts at the church starting at 10 a.m. So come early to find parking and support the members of the church who will be leading us in worship. Here's info on the race route:
