It's taken me a minute to settle my spirit, and to gather my thoughts, so that when I spoke, it'd be passionate, it'd represent my truth, and yet be responsible, and fResh. I was waiting for something "profound" to come to me, but Holy Spirit keeps bringing me back to 2nd Chronicles chapter 7. Understanding that because The Bible is Truth, and not fiction, some things cannot be avoided, prayed away, or stopped, because they've actually already happened. However, as believers, we do have the right, and the responsibility to plead The Blood. As believers, we do have the authority to pray that God's Will, and His Purpose for allowing a thing, be done, and done quickly! And because The Will of God is not automatic, the devil can manipulate the circumstances, and then drag things on, and extend the trauma, so that the believer is lulled into spiritual passivity and inactivity...but NOT TODAY! I pray for a shaking in our spirits, and a renewing of our strength, to continue to intercede on behalf of this nation. I pray that there be no more "IFS"...and I pray that The Power of God stirs us again, and rekindles our fire for prayer, and true intercession. I pray that the pain, and the difficulty that we're presently pressing our way through, won't stop us from manning our position on the wall! I pray that Holy Spirit restores our joy, and that we find peace in His Presence. Holy Spirit, help our infirmities, do away with the distractions, and don't let race, culture, or past experiences, cause us to pray amiss. Lead us! Guide us! Fill our mouths with the words of prayer, and don't let anger taint the focus, or the motive behind our prayers. Take away the "IFS", and cause Your People to start praying again. Remove the racial baggage, and the denominational walls and pitfalls, and ! We pray that You would show us how, when, where, and with who. ...out of the ashes of , and out of every other city, and tragedy, that was perpetuated by racism and fear. In Jesus' Name!
