Spiritual growth doesn't happen overnight.
In Galatians 5:22–23, Paul writes: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control; against such things there is no law.”
The fruit of the Spirit is the visible evidence of the Holy Spirit working within a believer’s life. Just as fruit on a tree reveals what kind of tree it is, spiritual fruit reveals spiritual growth. These characteristics are not personality traits that some people naturally have and others don’t. They are qualities produced through abiding in Christ.
