That's exactly what our Youth Dance Ministry did this Youth Sunday. 🙏🏾

As the music started, the sanctuary went quiet, and then these kids moved like their whole hearts depended on it.

Every step was worship. Every beat was a testimony.

Unshakable faith means holding on to God when you have every reason to let go.

Sermon Notes (8/30/26), "She Had Something Left" Mark 5:25-26 | Rev. Dr. M. Andrew Davis Early Morning Worship 7:30AM

The woman in Mark 5 had suffered for 12 years. She had spent everything she had seeking help from doctors, yet her condition became worse. She was physically, emotionally, financially, and spiritually depleted.

Still, she refused to give up her faith. She had enough faith to reach for Jesus—and that faith changed her story.

Her story teaches several important lessons:

Don't lose hope. Keep the faith. God is still with you in difficult seasons, and He is still able to sustain you when circumstances are at their worst.

An unshakable Faith will…
• Believe when it gets worse
• Keep going when empty
• Encourage yourself when others
aren't there
• Reach for Jesus despite your
circumstances
• Tell Him the whole truth
• Trust Him with the outcome
• Hold on to your faith

Minister Nicole Baker preached a powerful sermon and these words into eleven hearts this Sunday. 🙏🏾

As the music played the doors of the church were opened, the room went still, and then eleven souls stepped forward.

They didn't hesitate. They walked to the altar and joined our church family, hearts on fire.

That was our theme for this year's Men's Day. 🙏🏾

And this past Sunday, the Men's Day Choir lifted their voices to match it.

Men gathered together in worship, singing with one voice.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

It stirs something. 💛

We had a blast this past Sunday at our Men's Day worship service.

That morning, Pastor Davis hosted Reverend Lamont Smith, pastor of Chapel Hill here in Detroit, who brought the word.

That afternoon, Pastor Davis hosted Reverend Dr. Michael Ross, the pastor of New Ebenezer out of Columbia, South Carolina, who preached a dynamic message.

In the recap, Pastor Ross shared why we can't try to navigate our lives without Jesus. So many of us make the mistake of thinking we're wise enough and smart enough to make every decision on our own. But there comes a time to let Jesus be the driver, not just a passenger.

He pointed to Luke 24, the road to Emmaus, and how Jesus flipped the script. He wasn't the guest at the table. He became the host, serving the very men who invited him in.

That's the role reversal Jesus wants in your life too. Not a guest. The host. The one driving every decision.

Defer to Jesus.
