Awakening Detroit to the greatest adventure of all time.

10/31/2026

There’s something special about coming together as the people of God. 🤎

Every Sunday, we have another opportunity to turn our hearts toward Jesus, grow in His Word, worship together, and encourage one another in our walk with Him.

And we’re grateful for every moment we get to share as a church family.

“I rejoiced with those who said to me, ‘Let’s go to the house of the LORD.’” Psalm 122:1

And the good news? We get to do it all again tomorrow!

We can want all the good things that come with following Jesus while still holding tightly to the things He’s calling us to let go of.

But following Jesus isn’t just about what we gain. It’s also about what we’re willing to surrender.

Pastor Sonny reminded us that the gospel calls us to a different way of thinking and living. And that means allowing the Holy Spirit to change our hearts, even when letting go isn’t easy.

So here’s a question to sit with this week: What are you still holding onto?

THIS SIDE UP: When Jesus Reorients Everything

The world called it disruption. They weren’t too far off. In Acts 17, Paul and Silas were accused of turning the world upside down by proclaiming Jesus as King. But the gospel wasn’t turning things upside down—it was making things right. Because when Jesus becomes King, He doesn’t just change what we believe. He changes everything about how we live.

In a world turned upside down, Jesus offers a new center, a new direction, and a new hope. Join us tomorrow at 930A as we launch this new series at 8801 Woodward, Detroit, MI 48202. A new King. A new kingdom. A whole new way to live.

It’s possible to be doing all the right things and still miss what God is trying to do in you.

We can get so caught up in what we’re accomplishing for God that we forget He’s also doing a work in us.

The question isn’t just, “What am I doing for God?” but “Am I becoming who He’s calling me to be?”

There’s a difference, and it starts with surrender.

There was a deep reverence for the Lord during worship and a desire to just remain in His presence. It was one of those mornings where you didn’t want to rush to the next thing.

And while we know the Lord is always with us, we’re grateful for moments that make us even more aware of His nearness.

“You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures.”
Psalm 16:11

We’re already looking forward to gathering again. Come worship with us this Sunday! 🤎

We’re grateful for every opportunity to come together, worship Jesus, hear His Word, pray, and encourage one another. These moments matter, and we don’t take them for granted.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.”
Acts 2:42

And the good news is, we get to do it again tomorrow! 🥹

In Nehemiah 11, God’s people had already made a commitment to Him.

Now they had an opportunity to live out what they said they believed, even when it meant giving up their comfort.

And that challenges us today. Do the words we sing on Sunday match the way we live throughout the week?

As Pastor said, “Let’s make our lives cashable.”
