Hands4Detroit

Hands4Detroit Hands 4 Detroit is an annual day of service and food drive sponsored by the Greater Detroit District of the United Methodist Church.

Held on the first Saturday of October, Hands 4 Detroit brings together a thousand volunteers from across Metropolitan Detroit who, alongside residents of the community, put their hands to work on clean up and beautification projects. Additionally, Hands 4 Detroit partners with Gleaners Community Food Bank to sponsor a food drive. All donations help Hands4Detroit with its goal of driving out hunger in the Motor City.

Hands4Detroit / Hands-with-Detroit 2018 - Checkin begins at 8 am Saturday, Oct. 6., at Metropolitan UMC, 8000 Woodward Avenue, Detroit. Bring your non-perishable food items! Opening program is 9-9:30am. Depart for projects at 9:30 am. Join the pick-up choir for a sing-a-long at noon. Bring your seniors and others for A Day of Song & Prayer. Register if you'd like lunch.
