🚨 Youth & Young Adult Sunday is this week at House of Victory!

This day is not about putting young people on display,1 it’s about celebrating who they already are. Our youth and young adults are not just the future of the Church, they are the Church right now, serving, leading, raising families, and making an impact in the world every day.

We’re setting aside this Sunday to honor them, encourage them, and stand with them as they continue to grow in faith and purpose.

This weekend has already been a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness to this house.

We honored the memory and legacy of the late Pastor Bruce R. Johnson and celebrated Founding Lady Davena Johnson for the love, prayers, and sacrifice poured into the work of the Lord.

We witnessed the official pastoral installation of Pastor W. David Sumlin Jr. as Pastor of House of Victory Church, marking a historic moment as two church legacies move forward together as one house.

And now today, we conclude the weekend with a powerful celebration service.

We are honored to welcome Superintendent Jermaine Johnston, whose voice will help set the tone for what we believe God is preparing for the future of House of Victory.

For years, this day has been the moment our church family gathers to celebrate God’s faithfulness and to recommit ourselves to the work He has entrusted to us (traditionally, our Church Anniversary Service).

Now, as two church legacies have become one House of Victory, we gather again with grateful hearts to celebrate what God has done, and what He continues to build among us.

This service will not only conclude Legacy Weekend, but we believe it will set the tone for the year ahead, as we move forward together in unity, purpose, and faith.

Legacy Weekend ’26 represents something sacred in our story! Two ministries, founded through faithful leadership.

Two couples, obedient to God’s call.
Two streams of ministry; now flowing together as one house.

We honor the work of Pastor Bruce R. Johnson and Lady Davena Johnson at Christian Victory Church (Happy Heavenly Birthday, Pastor Johnson — yesterday, 02/22/1964).

We honor the work of Pastor W. David Sumlin Jr. and Lady Derica Sumlin at Power House Church.

Through prayer, sacrifice, and perseverance, both ministries were built for God’s glory. Now, by His grace, those legacies are united so that the work of the Lord can continue together.
