Episcopal Diocese of Michigan

Episcopal Diocese of Michigan The Episcopal Diocese of Michigan welcomes everyone to our table: whether you are seeking a deeper connection to God in your life, or a life-long Episcopalian.

We are a community of Episcopal congregations in the Southeastern region of Michigan, seeking to enter a new era of the Church's life with a focus on peace and justice, diversity and collaboration, while loving God and our neighbors. Please connect with us; join a short course, attend a worship service, or watch an online sermon by Bishop Perry. You can learn more about how to connect with us at w

ww.edomi.org. Or, just send us a Facebook message. We would love to hear from you. Here's a little more about us:

The Episcopal Diocese of Michigan was organized in the fall of 1832 by parishes in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Troy, Monroe, Ypsilanti and Tecumseh. It became the 21st diocese of the Episcopal Church of the United States. The 11th and current bishop, the Right Reverend Dr. Bonnie A. Perry was ordained June 1, 2019, which made her the first woman and first openly le***an priest elected as an Episcopal bishop in Michigan.

Earlier this evening, Minneapolis authorities alerted those in the area to an active shooter incident near the conference hotel where Full and Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise is taking place. They issued an all-clear notice shortly after, and we have no reason to think any conference attendee has been harmed or that this tragic event is in any way connected to The Episcopal Church. We invite everyone to join in prayer for all who have been harmed and those who have died.
