On April 5, 2026, a remarkable act of compassion took place at Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. Under the leadership of Pastor Howard‑John Wesley, the congregation donated over $1 million to prevent evictions and keep families safely in their homes.

During the service, Pastor Wesley shared the impact with heartfelt gratitude, saying:
“You have helped stop the eviction of 338 families… To God be the glory.”

This extraordinary gift was raised through the church’s SEEK initiative, a dedicated season of prayer, fasting, sacrifice, and community action. SEEK is designed to align believers with God’s heart for justice, generosity, and service — and this year, its impact was life‑changing.
